I am a multimedia artist currently working and living out of Santa Barbara, California. Whether physical or digital all my work begins with the creation of a photograph. Within my practice, the camera is a survey tool that helps measure my proximity to themes and ideas that I relate to or want to understand. It is through photography I have evolved as an artist that finds creative joy within mechanical repetition and patterned mark making. Through a post studio practice (a laptop) my work draws upon my history with transportation, environmental ecology and eschatological crisis in suburban Southern California. It is through art making that I find a peacefulness when I explore visual responses to these themes – seeking to best understand the interconnectedness of my convictions and complicity within the American landscape.

Currently I serve as the coordinator of a non-profit bicycle space on the UCSB campus where I work with students to provide vocational training and assist with student led programming related to sustainability and transportation.
